ヘザーハニー、煮詰めたアプリコット、プルーン、デーツ、日干しレーズンのほか、塩漬けポップコーン、フルーツとナッツのミルクチョコバーと多くの香りを感じる。口に含むと、レモン、ニンニク、ローズマリーと一緒にフライパンで焼いた骨なしリブロースステーキを発見しました。還元後、香りはダークローストコーヒー、チョコレートモルト、糖蜜、メイプルシロップを発見。 味は、スモークジンジャーと卵チャーハンを添えたチキンチャウミンのようで、後味にはダーティーマティーニのような香ばしい、少し塩辛いエッジが感じられる。
17年間ex-bourbon hogsheadで熟成した後、first fill shave toast re-char oloroso barriqueに移し替え。
There was a lot going on here for the Panel. Heather honey, stewed apricots, prunes, dates and sun-dried raisins, as well as salted popcorn and a fruit and nut milk chocolate bar. On the palate, we found a pan-seared boneless ribeye steak with lemon, garlic and rosemary. After reduction, we discovered dark roasted coffee, chocolate malt, molasses and maple syrup on the nose. The taste was that of chicken chow mein with smoked ginger and egg fried rice, while in the finish a savoury, slightly salty edge that one can find in a dirty martini. Following 17 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky into a first fill shave toast re-char oloroso barrique.
