AUCHENTOSHAN

First Society bottling in 1984.
One of just a few remaining Lowland distilleries in production, and the only one to triple distil in the traditional Lowland fashion. This neat establishment overlooks the River Clyde, just east of Dumbarton, and draws its water from the Kilpatrick Hills, above the Highland Line. Not much is known of its early history. It suffered badly during the bombing of Clydebank during World War II.
