TITLE: Cool, calm and collectible / 落ち着いていて、穏やかで味わうべき
［香り］とてもリラックスしていて、同時にとても自信に満ちている。香りは空気中に浸透し、その香りにただただ酔いしれる。オレンジキャラメルソース、マジパン、コーヒー、バナナ、トーストしたココナッツカシューナッツなど、記述ではうまく表現できないが、これが精一杯。
［味わい］バーボン樽で熟成させたメープルシロップをふわふわのアメリカンパンケーキにかけたような、オイリーでワクシーな口当たり。1滴加水すると、ハニーリキュール、キャラメリゼしたバナナ、ファッジ、タバコ、クルミ、古いレザーの風味が広がり、まさに「リラックスできる一杯」に変身する。
バーボンホグスヘッドで30年間熟成させた後、ファーストフィルのヘビートースト、ミディアムチャーのホグスヘッドに移し替え。
Very relaxed, yet at the same time very confident. The aroma permeated the air, and the smell was simply intoxicating. Descriptors could not do it justice, but we have tried – orange caramel sauce, marzipan, coffee, bananas and toasted coconut cashew nuts. The mouthfeel was oily and waxy like bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup spread over fluffy American pancakes. After adding a drop of water, it truly turned into a "rocking chair dram" with flavours of honey liqueur, caramelised bananas, fudge, tobacco, walnuts and old leather. Following 30 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky into a first fill, heavy-toast, medium-charred hogshead.
