クルーティーダンプリング、ねっとりとしたトフィープディング、バタースコッチ、マジパン、オレンジオイルの心地よい香りがまわりの空気を満たしている。ダークビール、ブランデー、ほんの少しのレッドホットチリペッパーを加えた、大人向けのチェリージャムのような厚みのある味わいが口の中に広がる。加水すると、チェリーはダークチョコレートのムースの上に注がれたリキュールへと変わる。マシュマロとクリーム、ホットチョコレートを添えたラムとレーズンのファッジがあり、快適で居心地が良く、柔軟性にとんだ味わい。
9年間ex-bourbon hogsheadで熟成した後、1st fill Oloroso hogsheadへ移し替え。
Comforting aromas which we associated with clootie dumplings, sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch, marzipan and orange oil filled the air. Thick and mouthcoating like cherry jam for grown-ups with the addition of dark beer, brandy and just a hint of red-hot chilli peppers. After reduction, the cherries were in the form of a liqueur probably poured over a dark chocolate mousse. On the palate now rum and raisin fudge accompanied by hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream which gave us that comfy, cosy and fuzzy feeling. After nine years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky into a 1st fill Oloroso hogshead.
