10年間、bourbon hogshead に熟成の後、1st fill barrique に移し替え。

The panel found a powerful nose of burning wood, stripped twigs, crushed ferns and wet autumn leaves to begin with. Also noted was mineral oil, wet pebbles, chestnuts, moss, earth and white flowers. Reduction gave us a warm leather satchel, hobnobs, cherry stones, lanolin, green tea, dried raspberries and maple syrup. The palate displayed a punchy pepperiness at first sipping. This gave way to a mouth coating mintiness with sage biscuits, cheese scones, wood spice and mustard powder. Water revealed chalk and limestone qualities with canned mango chunks, banana split, olive oil, chives and butter biscuits. This whisky spent the first 10 years of its life in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a first fill barrique.
