TITLE: A hardy soul / 大胆な魂
［香り］とても魅力的なキャラクターで、丁寧に味わう事で、より良さがわかる。香りは、馬小屋、古い油性トラクターが隅にある納屋のよう。
［味わい］フィッシャーマンズフレンドのタブレット、樽香の効いた赤ワインかリベナジュースとプラムシュナップス。加水すると、隣の古い製材所で古い芝刈り機が草を刈り、空気中におがくずが広がるイメージが浮かぶ。バスク地方の伝統的な赤ワインとコーラをミックスしたカクテル、カリモーチョのよう。
This was a fascinating character which deserved our full attention to become more acquainted with it. The aroma was that of entering a barn with horse stables and an old oily tractor in a corner. On the palate it was a hardy soul as we washed down Fisherman’s friends with a well oaked red wine or Ribena spiked with plum schnapps. Diluted the old lumber mill next door started working with plenty of sawdust in the air while an ancient lawn mower cut grass nearby. We needed a drink and what better than a traditional Basque concoction mixing red wine and Coca-Cola called Kalimotxo (sound it out like this: Cal-e-mo-cho).
